Cooking Time: 15m

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup yellow cornmeal
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ⅛ teaspoon black pepper
- ¼ cup white sugar
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 quart vegetable oil for frying
- 8 ounces beef sausage
- 8 wooden skewers
Directions
1. Preheat oil in Sakuchi Deep Fry Pan over medium heat. Insert wooden skewers into sausages.2. Whisk together cornmeal, flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, buttermilk, eggs, 1 tablespoon of oil, and honey, and mix well.
3. Pour the batter into a glass, almost to the top, and dip in the hot dogs. Place the corn dog directly into the batter, swirl a little to completely cover the hot dog, then swirl as you lift. Let excess drip off.
4. Place the corn dogs in the hot oil at an angle for 5-7 seconds to seal, then drip into the oil (this will keep them from sticking to the bottom of the pan).
5. Fry 2 or 3 corn dogs at a time for 3 minutes or until golden brown. Transfer to a wire rack to cool.
